Free Broadband Credit Terms
Simply Broadband Limited (Simply Broadband, we, our) is the promoter of this Free Broadband Credit Offer (Offer). By registering your details on the Free Broadband Credit page provided to you, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions applicable to the Offer.
Eligibility for qualifying – what do I need to do to claim the Free Broadband Credit?
Eligible addresses will have received this Offer through the following channels:
- By entering your address on the broadband comparison site, Broadband Compare.
- By being informed about the Offer through Simply Broadband.
To be eligible to register for this Offer and receive Free Broadband Credit worth up to $250, you must:
- Complete the online registration form while the Offer is open to you, using your physical address (which must be the same address for which you received notice of the Offer) and a valid email address. The Offer is available for a limited time only, and can be changed or withdrawn at any time. We encourage you to register as soon as you see the Offer presented to you.
- Be capable of being the broadband account holder at that address and not already have a current fibre broadband connection at the time you register (unless otherwise notified by Chorus or your broadband provider).
- Ensure that the details (including the email address) you register for the Offer with is the same as the fibre broadband order used to get you connected to fibre broadband on the Chorus network (details on how to do this are below).
- Meet the additional requirements set out below, including maintaining an active fibre connection for a minimum period of 30 days, with observable data usage.
Ordering and getting connected to a Simply Broadband fibre plan
Once you have submitted your order at https://www.simplybroadband.co.nz/ you will receive a confirmation email from Simply Broadband which:
Confirms whether you are eligible to connect to fibre, and
Advises the date you will be connected to fibre to be eligible for Free Broadband Credit:
- If you already have a fibre box installed in your home, all you need to do is place a fibre order with Simply Broadband and get connected to fibre broadband on the date you select when you place your Simply Broadband Fibre order. We suggest placing an order promptly as it may take time to receive a new modem (if required) and have the connection activated.
- If you don’t have fibre installed yet, this can be arranged for premises where fibre is available on the Chorus network once you place an order for a fibre broadband plan with Simply Broadband. Please place an order as soon as possible to ensure you have enough time to schedule an appointment to have fibre installed, so you are connected to fibre broadband whilst Free Broadband Credit is available.
- You won’t be eligible for Free Broadband Credit if Chorus cannot connect your address to fibre - this is rare but occasionally happens (for example if we need third party permission to install fibre and we cannot get it, or where upon further investigation we determine fibre is unavailable at your address). In some cases, costs may apply to connect you to fibre e.g. if the installation work is non-standard, or a custom install is required.
