SERVICE OVERVIEW

Service Description - Unlimited Fibre Pro Broadband - Best for large households, constantly downloading and uploading.

Availability - Ultra Fast Fibre (UFB) Broadband is not available everywhere in New Zealand.  Enter your address into our address search to see if you can get a Simply Broadband Fibre connection.

Plan - Fibre Pro Broadband Plan (UFB) - Monthly Charge: $99.99.
No fixed term contract.
No connection fee.

Minimum Contract Term - Our standard offers are open term.  No long-term commitment and no hidden charges.  You can cancel at any time with 30 days’ email notice.

Wi-Fi Router / Modem Options - We operate on a BYO Router basis.  Reuse your current router using our setup guides. Some routers may not be compatible so please check our Help Centre to find out more.

Setup Charge - There is no connection fee and no account setup fees upon joining Simply Broadband with a valid connection order.  We place a pro-rata hold on your nominated card at the point of sign up for the cost of one week of your plan.  This is refunded upon connection.  
A non-standard installation fee usually applies if your house is more than 200m from the roadside. In these cases, a price is given upon application.

BROADBAND PERFORMANCE

Access Type - Fibre 950Mbps / 450Mbps (Download / Upload speeds may vary) - There is currently no independent report on our Fibre Pro plan speeds. You may experience a higher or lower speed than this.

Factors such as the performance of your modem, location of the service you’re connected to, the performance of your device and your in-home Wi-Fi setup can impact the speeds experienced.

OTHER INFORMATION

Early Termination Fee (ETF) - $0 - Simply Broadband does not charge a termination fee.

Notice Period - You may ask us to stop a particular service or cancel this agreement with 30 days’ notice at any time by sending an email to us on [email protected].  If you move a service from Simply Broadband to another provider without notifying us we will continue to charge you for that service for 30 days from the departure of the service.

Traffic Management - No traffic management policies apply on any of our broadband plans, including Unlimited Data.

Fair Use - Simply Broadband does not enforce a fair use policy when your connection is used for standard home use. If you have something extraordinary in mind send us an email at [email protected].  If you are on a plan with unlimited usage, "Fair and Reasonable Use" applies.  Fair and Reasonable Use is determined as usage that falls into “normal” incidence and use compared to Simply Broadband’s total Residential Broadband client base. Where use is significantly (2 standard deviations) higher than median usage, Simply Broadband reserves the right, at its discretion, to review the service and pricing being provided under your agreement.

Essential Services - Your Fibre (UFB) broadband service requires mains power to operate. If power is unavailable during a power outage, your broadband and any services that run over it will stop working unless you have a battery backup in your home.  You should check with the provider of any essential services, such as security and medical alarms, to ensure they will operate with this fibre service. They can often change your access method to ensure your services are available during a power outage. 

Additional Charges - Additional charges may apply for non-standard installations and additional in-home technician work performed at the time of installation. If you request us to send a technician to your home, we will pass on any costs associated with that visit if no fault is found.  Other additional services are charged at a range of prices, these include Static IP.

Non-Payment - As a prepaid fibre broadband service, non-payment is met with termination of your connection.  Simply Broadband reserves the right to charge a reconnection fee of $50 if you are reconnected after non-payment.

Disputes - Sometimes we don’t always get things right and if that is the case jump on an online chat or send us an email at [email protected] to discuss your issue.  If you are still not satisfied with how we have resolved your complaint, send an email to [email protected].  You will hear back from us within 3 working days and we aim to have any and all complaints resolved within 10 working days.

Prices - All pricing quoted are inclusive of GST.
